Devlin Frames

Kinship - Signature frame module - $5900

image8

A Kinship Signature frame module consists of frame, fork, headset, stem and seat post. Fork supplied is the Columbus Futura SL or custom Columbus MAX fork. Stem is custom lugged steel and seat post is carbon, both painted to fit in with the paint scheme of choosing.

The frame will be a mix of tubes determined by DCC but are based around the tapered head, top and seat tubes. It is constructed in the BiLam style to Delvin’s’ unique lug design.

Included are the custom headset, removable external cable stops and electronic ports for group set of your flavour (or you can specify just one style). Internal rear brake guide, bottle bosses on down tube/seat tube, a Quick-Change chain keeper, cable guide on underside of the bottom bracket and M6 stainless seat binder bolt.

Disc option for this frame is available as an extra. $350

Paint up to three solid colours or one candy colour is to your desire with all masked logos. Complicated designs attract a premium from either Wallis Paints or Bikes by Steve or Wallis.

Heffron Race - Fillet brazed - $4500

The Heffron Race frame is designed to compete with the current crop of race bikes available. Aero down tube and seat tube, tapered horizontal top tube, dropped seat stays, aero road fork. Using a straight 1 1/8" steerer with associated head tube keeps the frontal area down while the steel aero road fork provides all the strength and stiffness required and the great feel that only steel can provide.

What the Heffron gives away in weight it gains in perfect fit and a phenomenal handling thoroughbred. Fillet brazing allows for the best weight savings as well as using the highest grade of tubing available on the market. A steel frame in this configuration only has about 400-500g extra over a a full aero race frame in carbon. That sort of weight can be easily negated in careful component selection.

Gibraltar - Standard Lugged - $3400

About Me

Sean Doyle

I started out riding in school in the late 1980's. From the moment I did my first group ride and then race, I was hooked on the world of two wheels. I have ridden many thousands of km's since then,. Over all sorts of terrain and with varying goals in mind. Road, track, mtb, BMX and CX have all featured in these adventures.

Over that time I have formed a pretty strong idea on how a bike should exist and how it should handle. I love the modern classic look and design my bikes to be functional first but still have a classy aesthetic about them.

With intuitive design nous and a background in fabrication and engineering, I am fortunate to have ventured down the path of building my own frames. It is both intense and soothing at the same time and is deeply satisfying to have my clients rave about their own Devlin Custom Cycle.

My preference if to build in steel. It has that legendary lively feel that I believe rewards the rider for the effort. Giving a ride that is smooth but responsive and dances delightly when pushed hard.
